Make. The manufacturer is usually the first thing looked at when considering the type of vacuum truck. Just as with personal vehicles, name brand of industrial vehicles means something in terms of parts, longevity, gas consumption, and so on. And there are a ton of names to choose from with vacuum trucks. Domestic specialists such as GMC and Ford to commercial manufacturers like Mack and Kenworth all have trucks on the road.

Carrying capacity. Perhaps, for the entrepreneur, the most important category for vacuum trucks is the carrying ability of that truck. There are two different areas: the amount of weight that can be carried on the axles and the capacity of the tank used on the truck.

Axles. Depending on the size of the job, the truck may need to have some extra axles. Vacuum trucks operating for industrial purposes, for example, will need more strength and thus more axles are key.

Vacuum system. Of course, one of the most important parts of any vacuum truck will be the system it employs to carry out its tasks. There are many different components to the vacuum pump system; the pump itself, the length of hose, the tank, suspension, and speed will all play a part in the jobs the truck can do and the amount of time it takes to finish those jobs.

So, there you have it, a brief overview of some ways in which different vacuum trucks can be categorized. The truck needs to fit the task, so you will see specific types used for the wastewater treatment chemical plant and others for the Mississauga real estate maintenance purposes. In this section, we will talk about a broad number of categories (and don't worry, we will throw in feature reviews as well).
